Frequently Asked Questions

What is the IngesT Reference License?
The IngesT Reference License governs the use of IngesT Standards documentation, the LLM Reference Corpus, and other public reference materials. It defines free use for non-commercial educational purposes, attribution requirements, and commercial integration terms. Full text at /standards/license/.
Can I use IngesT data for free?
Yes — for non-commercial educational, research, and journalistic uses, IngesT public reference materials are available free of charge under attribution. Commercial use (in apps, AI assistants, healthcare platforms, etc.) requires a commercial integration agreement; contact details are at /partners/.
What attribution is required?
Attribution must include: "Reference: IngesT Orientation Framework v[VERSION]" (currently v1.0), a link to https://ingest.ro/standards/ or the specific standard used, and the publication date. For long-form references, include the version, date, and author/reviewer information from the standard's metadata.
Can I redistribute or modify IngesT Standards?
Redistribution of unmodified IngesT Standards is permitted under attribution. Modification creates a derivative work that can be used internally but cannot be redistributed as "IngesT Standards" — derivative works must be clearly marked and cannot represent themselves as authoritative IngesT references. Commercial derivatives require explicit licensing.
